Janet Slom, MFA

MBSE and MBSR Teacher

Janet Slom is the founder of MBSE® (Mindfulness-Based Self Expression), an adaptation of MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) that teaches mindfulness through creativity. She has been teaching MBSR and MBSE at schools, libraries, conferences, hospitals, and learning centers throughout the United States and internationally for more than 30 years. Janet is a certified MBSR instructor, a certified yoga instructor, a reverend of the Interfaith Ministry, and a spiritual counselor.

An accomplished artist, Janet has had work exhibited in solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Janet is on the faculty of the Iacocca Institute’s Global Village at Lehigh University and is an adjunct faculty member at the Center for Mindfulness in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, where she is also the Artist in Residence and has an inaugural solo exhibition currently on view.
